About Cairo City

Cairo is the name of the Capital of Egypt. The pronunciation of the name in arabic language is totally different and it means (the victorious). The original Cairo have been established during the Muslim Fatimid dynasty in 969 AD. The original Cairo area is located now at the North East of the present city, El Moez street today is one of the places of the original Cairo.

The Egyptian country is more than 4000 years older than Cairo city. The first Capital of Egypt is Memphis and it was established in 3150 BC by the Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. The Original Memphis now is located at the South West of the present city, it is now a village called Mit Rahina found at the South West of Cairo. The present Cairo is the Capital No. 19 of Egypt, the largest city in the Arab World and Africa and No. 6 largest in the world.

The variant forces that have ruled the Egyptian country was the result of its variant and rich history in addition to the old and long history of the main people of Egypt (the Pharos).
